Done Crying
I think it's the weather. Or something in the water. Or something. But I am done being mopey. Six hour choir rehearsal (so fun!) and I fall apart three chords into the Mendelssohn Heilig. Because it sounds like home: old friends and old churches. Girl next to me looks at me as I sob, as if to say "What the heck? We're sight-reading. It's not THAT pretty." Oh, but it is. It's gorgeous. And I need to pull myself together if I'm going to sing this piece. The first one we've done in German in my 5 years in the choir :)
Then I went home and watched Randy Pausch's Last Lecture. Most of it's pretty geeky, but there were some truly inspiring moments. Like when he gave that birthday cake to his wife, and when he disclosed the second "head fake:" Talk's not for you, it's for my kids...yeah I got teary again. Damn weather!
Today, my gmail account got "terminated," randomly. Okay, I thought, that's fine. I have another e-mail address and my real friends can reach me on facebook. Then I realize my blog is gone, too. And here come the waterworks. My heart and soul, my childhood memories, my online diary. Obviously, I'm back (my e-mail is still down, but this is a good step).
So, I don't care what is going on, but I am DONE crying. NYC in four days. Get ready flight attendants, here comes a fearful flier who is not going to let life stop her! An apartment in Manhattan, two blocks from Central Park, free tickets to the Met, and a Broadway play on Monday! Tears can stay at home. I'm done <3
